Short post today. The kids came home early on Sunday after 9 days at their dad's for the Thanksgiving holidays. Football Star Son has a bad case of Strep and Cheerleader daughter was up much of Sunday night "sick to her stomach". Little Brother Football Star wasn't sick, but needed a good scouring. He admitted to showering only 2 times the entire time he was gone and by the looks of his teeth, I'd say he didn't brush them much more than that. He's only 12 so when he's home, I remind him about his daily shower and ask him if he's brushed his teeth before school and before bed... hopefully he'll start remembering to do these things on his own soon. Seems like FSS and Cheerleader daughter needed to be reminded at this age too (until they were old enough to care about how they looked and whether or not they knocked someone down with the stench of their breath). So, much of my time since Sunday afternoon has been spent playing nurse-maid to the kids and making doctors appointments. Poor babies.
I did manage to start FSS's Christmas gift last Saturday. I've discovered a really cool way for y'all to keep tabs on my Christmas knitting and crocheting without the recipients seeing and ruining their surprises. I've decided to keep all Christmas WIP's progress in a password protected photo album. Anybody and everybody is welcome to view it EXCEPT FOR THE RECIPIENTS ;-) All you have to do is to leave me a comment here letting me know you want to see the goodies, and once I do a thorough background check on you to make sure you're not really one of my family members in disguise (teasing) I'll email you the user-name and password to gain access into the Super Secret Christmas WIP photo album. Fun, sneaky, and TOTALLY Christmas"y" secretive stuff! You know it's getting close to Christmas when there's a lot of whispering and sneaking around going on! Love it!
So there will be pics, but not too many posted right here in the open. Sorry for the inconvenience, but it's for a good cause :-)
Speaking of Christmas... here's a letter Little Brother Football Star wrote one night and left outside my bedroom door a couple of months ago -- it's a must read ;-) He must have forgotten that Christmas comes before his birthday when he wrote the letter, but this item is now on his Christmas list. He is infatuated with this product and calls me into the room each and every time the info-mercial comes on. Kids.
So other than a Magic Bullet, I'm at a bit of a loss regarding what to get my kids this year for Christmas. Seems they have just about everything! What are some of you parents doing for your kids this Christmas? I need ideas!
I cannot think of any Christmas ideas for the kids as of right now, but Anson is halarious, and I love the magic bullet too. I am so facinated by the infomercial also. I am laughing out loud! Too funny.

I LOVE my Bullet. I got it for my birthday and use it almost every day. It's amazing. My gravy and soups are perfect. I don't use it so much to chop (I made onion soup the first time I tried instead of onion chopped) but I love it to blend things and whip things, and make everything pretty. If you buy right you can find the ones where you buy one and get one free. Oh and we used ours all summer long to make milkshakes. It was great. (I sound like a commerical lol)

Love the letter -- I bet you never would have guessed that's what he wanted!
I don't know what the cool kids want for Christmas this year, but that Robo-raptor looks pretty funny to me. =)

I remember when my little sister was the age of little brother. It was my job to get everyone up and out for school (being 5 years older). We had the hardest time with her hygiene. I think it's definitely an age thing and he'll outgrow it soon enough. Hope the other kids are feeling better soon.

Well, darnit, now I want a Magic Bullet.
My nephew is 13 and he is into skateboards. Have you seen the price of these things nowadays? For boards on wheels!
I would love to see the super secret Christmas projects. :)
Have a great day!

Could your son be more cute?? I think not.
I think your kiddos are beyond what my girls want. Barbie Magic of Pegasis is high are their wish list.
Please, please, please can I have the password?

I got my son an inexpensive battery operated toothbrush at that age. He liked the "gadget" part of it and used it much more. Just an idea.

Good night
Thanks for your site.

You really have to make sure that he's working on his hygiene. It's going to affect his image if he doesn't attend to those things. Tell him that the small things in life can be big. Well, that's a little too deep, but you get my drift. ;]
